Ballygunner Rapid Build Housing, Ballygunner, Co. Waterford
This project consists of the construction of a new residential estate comprising of 49 no. social housing residential units in a mix of single storey, 2-storey and 3-storey buildings along with associated site development works.
The form of construction for the houses is rapid build timber frame construction with a masonry external leaf. The apartments are of conventional residential construction utilising loadbearing block work supporting a mix of timber and concrete floors. The roof structures across the development are of prefabricated timber truss construction.
DRA Consulting Engineers provided Civil & Structural Engineering design Services to the Design & Build contractor including structural design, design of site development works and drainage design.
