Large Scale Housing Development
This project consisted of the construction of a new housing estate comprising of 105 houses, 29 apartments, a Creche and associated site development works at Bloodmill Road, Singland, Limerick.
Civil engineering challenges included unfavourable contours with regard to foul sewer design whereby a number of approaches had to be implemented to minimise sewer depths and comply with Irish Water requirements.
Structural options for the houses have been prepared based on both timber frame and traditional masonry construction.
Apartment buildings are of Reinforced Concrete frame.
DRA Consulting Engineers are providing full Civil & Structural Engineering Services, Assigned Certifier, Design Certifier and PSDP Services including design & supervision of drainage works, roads construction, watermains and the structural elements of the housing, apartment and crèche units.
