Our Austin Dennany, Chartered Conservation Engineer, made his TV debut in July 2016 appearing in Creedons Epic East on RTE. Austin’s expertise in historic structures was required to try & solve the mystery of the Jumping Church of Kildemock, Co. Louth.
The gable wall of the historic church appears to have “jumped” by approximately 3 feet, yet still remains standing.
In the programme, Austin reviews the evidence to hand and sets out his theory as to how the wall ‘jumped’. Described in the programme as ‘one of Ireland’s brightest minds’, his theory on the mystery was well received, although it still remains a mystery.
